Just Another Entry

If you notice, on the top part of this blog, I put a countdown that counts to my next birthday. And if you are really an observant kind of person who actually cares about my birthday, you will notice that the countdown is counting towards my 21st birthday. I just realize about it a few minutes ago and I think I am going to leave it that way because I will feel one year younger. Ha-ha. Speaking of birthday, Prince William is turning 25 this year. I am not interested about his birthday, what I find interesting is about a piece of legislation regarding the British Royal Family enacted by the Parliament. According to the Royal Marriages Act (1772), a member of the Royal Family may, at the age of 25, signify to the Privy Council his or her intention to marry without the consent of the Sovereign. That is not interesting yet. The most interesting bit about this is, the marriage can lawfully take place unless both the House of Commons and House of Lords disapprove. This means, a member of the

I still cannot believe it that I am already in Malaysia. And I also cannot believe it that our Prime Minister actually got married last Saturday. Not that I never thought he would get married again, it’s just that, maybe later and not sooner. Another thing that I cannot believe is how Proton had been going back and forth with its discussion with Volkswagen. OK, let me say this, Proton is in a very bad position right now. The company do not generate profit at all and is running on its cash rather than profits. OK, maybe a company can run at a loss in the short-term but no company can run in the short or long term with a bleeding cash flow. And that is the biggest challenge that Proton has to overcome. If it were up to me, I would just sell the company off to anyone who wants it. At this point, the only reason why companies like GM, Volkswagen, NAZA and DRB-Hicom are showing interests on Proton is because of the huge Tanjong Malim plant, which currently is running well below capacity. Leaving On A Jet Plane...

In less than 48 hours, I will be out of Wye and eventually, the UK. So, how was my second year here in Wye? GREAT!!! I met more great people that made me wonder why didn’t I meet them earlier in the first year. It’s not like I didn’t know them at all because I knew that they exist, just didn’t have the chance to get to know them. And I just want to thank them for making this year a great year. I did a lot of things that I never thought I’d do and I actually hung out with people that I never thought I would hang out with. I never thought I’d say this, but I felt like I was at home whenever I was around those people. Well, not exactly like home, but you know what I mean. And because of this, I actually feel sad of leaving this place. I am excited to go home because it HAS been almost 9 months since I went home, but still, I feel sad that I don’t get to see some of my friends here over the next 4 months. Of course, this year was not perfect either, but nothing is perfect in this world. Bu

Sweet Taste of Freedom.

I think, the most popular question at this moment will be, “How’s exam?” So, I will begin my first post after so many weeks by saying, “Exam was fine.” What else should I say? Ha-ha. I answered all the questions the way I think they should be answered. So, the only thing now is to see whether my lecturers actually see the way I think. At this point, there is not much I can do except praying and hoping for the best. So, what have been happening since I last wrote an entry in this blog? Well, before my exam started three weeks ago, I spent a weekend in Oxford. Thank you to Khalid, the trip was very enjoyable to me. The weather was nice, the food was great (thanks to Khalid, Hizami and Juanis), everything was just perfect. What else? I went to watch Spiderman 3 a week before my Accounting exam and I must say that I felt quite disappointed with the 3rd instalment of the series. First of all, the whole movie was a bit too long. Secondly, it tried to be like Pirates of the Caribbean, humour-
