How to Kill Your Time?

A friend of mine introduced me to VideoJug and I have to say that this website is not that bad, to be honest. From the surface, it looks just like any other video sharing websites such as YouTube, Metacafe, Dailymotion and etc. But it is not in two ways, firstly most of the videos uploaded on the website are made by the company itself. Secondly, the videos on VideoJug have only one theme that is How-To videos. If you are familiar with HowStuffWorks, VideoJug is exactly like that but instead of in written articles it is in video form. So basically, to sum up, it is a more interesting version of HowStuffWorks. I spent few hours on VideoJug on Friday and I found that the website is very interesting because not just the videos are informative, some of them are actually very funny. You can get tips from how to tie a tie to how to tell if a girl is attracted to you. There are also videos on how to take a good photograph and how to be a perfect boyfriend. The videos on VideoJug covers a wide...

KL-London for RM9.99 (UPDATED)

Image
Flying from Kuala Lumpur to London for RM9.99? That is an idea. Well, at least to Tony Fernandes, that is an idea which is about to be realized – by Air Asia X. For a start Air Asia X will rely heavily on students and die hard football fans because they are probably the most price-driven customers. And of course, the new airline will also rely heavily on return ticket sales rather than one-way ticket. This is because, Air Asia X can charge higher price for a return ticket than one-way ticket as demonstrated by Oasis Hong Kong (a low cost airline that operates Hong Kong-London route). One look at the pricing strategy of Oasis Hong Kong, one will notice that the price from Hong Kong to London is much cheaper than from London to Hong Kong. I can only assume that Air Asia X will use the same price strategy. OK, a Chelsea fan who wants to go to London to watch a match between Chelsea and Liverpool will buy a return ticket from KL to London. His one-way ticket from KL to London will cost him...

May Google Be With You!

In one of my lectures last Monday, a friend of mine gave this comment, “Google will soon takeover the world!” The only thing that I can say about that statement is, “I just couldn’t agree more.” In case you have not noticed, we can do pretty much everything with Google. From normal search of subjects that we like to specific searches with Google Co-op. From simple things like where can we get the new Harry Potter to specific academic journal using Google Scholar. From reviews of the latest iPod to where can we actually get them using Froogle. The list just goes on and on that, it seems like Google’s worldwide domination is unstoppable. I think it is time to create another tagline, “May Google be with you.” Ha-ha. “It’s only when you look at an ant through magnifying glass on a sunny day that you realize how often they burst into flame.” – Harry Hill.
