Racism in World Cup.

In each World Cup matches, ‘Say No to Racism’ banner was laid down at the middle of the field prior to the kick-off. This is a strong message to us to never use racial hatred against anybody. Unfortunately, some people still don’t understand what racial hatred means. To these kinds of people, I hope that you will someday learn what it’s like to be discriminated for your skin colour. I hope that you will someday learn what it’s like to feel alienated by everyone for just being different. And I hope that you will learn what it’s like to be treated unfairly just because you belong to a certain race.

Incident in the final World Cup match between France and Italy taught us one thing – that we still have a long journey ahead of us to create a world that is free of racism. Zidane’s action of shoving his head into Materazzi’s chest is what I like to call ‘the end justifies the mean’ for he (Zidane) is just another victim of racial hatred.

SAY NO TO RACISM.

Yes, I think I am becoming obsessed with this Malay Drama show. I always look forward to watching the show every day. The irony of Angkara Cinta is despite the title of the show, it is not a love story at all. At least not to me. Many detractors of Tun Dr Mahathir blamed him for causing the fall of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government in February 2020. They blamed him for quitting his position for no apparent reasons whatsoever. To be honest, none of us (save for a select few) really know what had happened behind the curtains and behind Tun's thick skull. To me, I just want to focus on what Tun had said publicly because those are on record and no one can really dispute them. In just one more day, 2011 will draw its final curtain.
