Angkara Cinta to have 115 Episodes

Angkara Cinta television drama was initially planned for 70 episodes before the drama series was extended to 90 episodes. Yesterday, it was announced that the show will go on to 115 episodes. This means, the final episode of Angkara Cinta would be aired on 12 April 2021, just a day before the start of Ramadhan. I now wonder whether there will be an Aidil Fitri edition of Angkara Cinta a month after that last episode. In any case, I still enjoy watching the drama series and fortunately for me, I have not found the storyline as draggy. I guess, if you have watched soap operas or telenovelas before this, it is harder for you to find the storyline as a bit too slow and too long. I do however feel that the story on Luqman's jealousy problem is a bit "been there, done that". I seriously hope that they will not dwell too much on that storyline. My criticism now is the fact that they have not resolve the Mokhzan's storyline yet, which is disappointing. I supposed, the purpos...

Angkara Cinta

I don't typically watch a Malay television series on my own. If I do, it is because my wife or colleagues influenced me to watch them. I don't pay attention too much on Malay television series because I usually pay more attention to the US or the UK television series. More so now, with Netflix, Malay television series just simply fall off my radar. However, it is a bit different with Angkara Cinta. For your information, the series was originally slated for 70 episodes and they just screened Episode 60 last Friday. And now, the production had decided to extend the series to 90 episodes. I guess the series is a hit now? Angkara Cinta is a story about two boys (later men) who have the same name, Luqmanul Haqeem Bin Razlan, but lived in two different worlds. As you can probably imagine, one of them was born with a silver spoon and one of them was not. In a very predictable plot, they met and their lives intertwined in ways that none of them could have imagined. Why do I continue to...

A New Start?

I recently read a blog of someone who I had just met a w eek ago. This person is just like any ordinary person - or so I thought. It turned out that there's more to this person. When I had a conversation with him, I noticed that he has a very refreshing way of looking at things. It's not that the way he thinks is totally out of the box but, it was just plain refreshing. I'm further impressed by his manners and attitude in life. And then when I read his blog, it inspires me to revive this blog. I guess I've forgotten what blogging was all about. Blogging is all about writing on whatever that ticks you. It does not have to be long, but just enough to highlight what you believe in. So I hope that this will be the new beginning of this blog. And to this person, thank you for inspiring me to do something that I have long left behind.

Just a Thought.

“Remember those walls I built?” I am pretty sure that most of us had been in this position. We opened up ourselves to other people all the while thinking that that would make us happy. So, we bring ourselves to this whole new level only to be stabbed, crushed and broken. We then turned into this bitter person and push away everyone and everything that had the guts to come near us. “Baby, they’re tumbling down, they didn’t even put up a fight, they didn’t even make a sound.” Until someone came and somehow or rather, we forgot all the pain in the past and beginning to slowly open up ourselves again. “I swear I’d never le you in,” We keep telling ourselves that if we decide to give in, we will only ended up getting hurt again. “But I never really had a doubt, standing in the light of your halo, I got my angel now.” No matter how hard we tried to resist, this person keeps coming back into our life, proving how much we are worth to them. Until we finally realize that this person is actually...

All Packed Up.

All my bags are packed and I am ready to go. My hall rental agreement expires tomorrow and I’ll leave Wye and stay in London for two nights. On Monday night, I will leave the United Kingdom for Malaysia. It feels a bit weird looking at your half empty room, as if, you just arrived. This room had been my home for the final two years of my university life. And I love every bit of it. It is going to be emotional for me when I finally say goodbye to K15 tomorrow. But, just to make you and me happy, let us hear this song by Jason Mraz called, I’m Yours.

How to Kill Your Time?

A friend of mine introduced me to VideoJug and I have to say that this website is not that bad, to be honest. From the surface, it looks just like any other video sharing websites such as YouTube, Metacafe, Dailymotion and etc. But it is not in two ways, firstly most of the videos uploaded on the website are made by the company itself. Secondly, the videos on VideoJug have only one theme that is How-To videos. If you are familiar with HowStuffWorks, VideoJug is exactly like that but instead of in written articles it is in video form. So basically, to sum up, it is a more interesting version of HowStuffWorks. I spent few hours on VideoJug on Friday and I found that the website is very interesting because not just the videos are informative, some of them are actually very funny. You can get tips from how to tie a tie to how to tell if a girl is attracted to you. There are also videos on how to take a good photograph and how to be a perfect boyfriend. The videos on VideoJug covers a wide...

Hibiscus Papa Delta.

Malaysia Airlines (MH) is going to repaint one of its jumbo jets (registered as 9M-MPD), which is now painted with the Hibiscus livery, into the original MH livery. This simple move would actually save the airline company up to RM900,000 annually. The reason is because according to some sources, the colour red, is the heaviest colour there is and therefore, is expensive to maintain, in terms of fuel usage. The savings mentioned earlier is the savings from not having to carry that red paint. As you might already know, the original MH livery is the normal white upper body and grey lower body with two thin blue and red stripes running in between the white and grey body. I guess the livery would have to go at one time anyway, but I was just hoping that it would go later rather than sooner. I have not even been in any of the hibiscus yet. For your information, there are two Hibiscuses – the 9M-MPD and 9M-MPB. There is also another special livery adorning MH’s Triple Seven – 9M-MRD – with a ...

Benelux Trip: Part 2

Image
Now it’s time for the second part of my Benelux Trip. After spending one night in Luxembourg and two nights in Brussels, we made our way to the Netherlands. There, we spent another two nights in Amsterdam. This, I personally think is the best part of the trip. And I think most people would know that any trip to the Netherlands would not be complete without seeing the famous tulips and the infamous Red Light District. On the first night that we were there, we took a stroll along the alleys in the Red Light District, which was helped by the fact that our hostel is within the parameter of the Red Light District itself. Red Light District, if you don’t already know is a centre for sex services. Basically, it is a one-stop sex centre. From young and very attractive prostitutes to live sex shows to normal sex shops, which sell sex video tapes and sex toys. Another feature of the Red Light District is the Coffeeshops. Coffeeshops are not your ordinary coffee shops because they sell drugs inst...

Benelux Trip: Part 1

Image
I’m back from my spring trip. Actually, calling it a spring trip would be an overstatement. The weather was not nice at all. I was hoping for a nice sunny weather, but was greeted by rain and snow. But, thank God for the sunny weather on the last day of the trip when I visited Keukenhof Botanical Garden . Now, let me tell you few highlights of the Benelux Trip. First of all, for this trip, I flew for the first time on a propeller airplane (Fokker 50) on an airline that I have never flown before – VLM Airlines. Another thing about the trip is the fact that I flew from London City Airport for the first time. I have been waiting for so long to fly from London City Ai rport and last Monday, I got my chance. Secondly, the unique thing about this trip is that my friends and I did not gather in London and flew together to Luxembourg . What happened was, all of us went at different times on different mode of transport and met at the Luxembourg Central Station. I flew from Lo...

Spring Break!!!

How Will You Travel Through Life?

Image
Congratulations Boeing on the premiere of the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner this morning. As I watched the new airplane rolled-out from behind the big screen in Everett 20 minutes ago, I can see that Boeing is redefining our future travel experiences. With 45 airlines ordering more than 680 airplanes even before the 787 was built, I would expect more airlines will be ordering the new Boeing after the premiere this morning and many more will be ordered after the first flight later this year. The Dreamliner is set to be in service this May with ANA. Congratulations to Boeing and all its employees, suppliers and whoever involved in the production of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. “How will you travel through life?” – Boeing. Four Days in Turkey

Image
So, how was Turkey? I cannot really answer that question because my holiday in Turkey was only in Istanbul. But what I can say is, Istanbul is GREAT! I think, my holiday in Istanbul is one of the best holidays so far. Firstly, my vacation in Istanbul is not like my any other vacation in a way that I did not stay in hotels or hostels, but I stayed with the Turkish themselves. In a way, it was more like a home stay programme rather than a normal holiday. Secondly, I went to Istanbul ALONE. I was supposed to go to Turkey with my Turkish friend who is in the same course with me, but he cancelled his plan at the last minute. So, I flew to Istanbul alone and spent my four days with his friends, who are totally strangers to me. Below is a picture of the Bosporus with the Europe on the left and Asia on the right. At first, I was a bit worried about the prospect of going to a foreign country and staying with people whom I had never met. I shared my concern with my friends like Fatih, Cheeno, Fr...

Pop!

I am pissed! I am pissed looking at those people who just walk into reality shows like Akademi Fantasia and spent 9 weeks there singing and then come out wearing designer clothes and big fancy cars and big fancy houses. And already acting like diva. (This doesn't apply to all reality TV stars). While some people, spent three to five years in university, trying to memorise chemical equations or some complex formula of differentiation, and come out at the end of five years still wouldn’t be able to buy a Proton Waja. And people all over Malaysia wonder why teenagers today love to be a celebrity. DUH! “STUPID = Smart Talented Unique Person In Demand.” – Anonymous.

UCL Malaysia Night

Waktu terasa semakin berlalu, Tinggalkan cerita tentang kita, Akan tiada lagi kini tawamu, Tuk hapuskan semua sepi di hati, Teringat di saat kita tertawa bersama, Ceritakan semua tentang kita, Ada cerita tentang aku dan dia, Dan kita bersama saat dulu kala, Ada cerita tentang masa yang indah, Saat kita berduka saat kita tertawa. When I came back from London yesterday, I couldn’t help to feel how I miss the good old days and when I listened to ‘Semua Tentang Kita’ by Peter Pan this morning, all those memories kept coming back to me. Sometimes, it is worth it for us to just take a break and just have a good time with our friends. After spending most of my time in front of my laptop writing the longest essay that I have ever written in my life, the short trip to London last weekend was really worth it. It is nice to see all of my friends again after not seeing them for such a long time. And the highlight of my trip was when I met my former form three classmate after not seeing him for s...

ONE YEAR!!!

Image
When I first started this blog January last year, I thought this is going to be just like my previous blogs, which ended after two or three months. I had never thought that this day would actually come. For your information, I started this blog on the 21st January 2006 with my first post at 9.57 p.m. And the first comment that I received was from Emirin. And now that with this 149th post, I wish asterix! a happy birthday! In conjunction with the one year anniversary of this blog and Anugerah Juara Lagu 21, I have a little competition for all of you. All you have to do is to tell me the answer to the two questions below by midnight of 22nd January 200 and I have a mystery gift waiting for you. This competition opens only to my friends and family. The first question is, why is the above picture significant to this blog? Teratai Layu Di Tasik Madu by Fauziah Latiff (Winner of Juara Lagu 1993) Janji Manismu by Aishah (Winner of Juara Lagu 1990) The second question is, why are the songs abo...

Off to Penang!

Image
I am going to Penang tomorrow with my family for one last vacation before I head back to the UK. Instead of feeling happy, I feel a bit sad because this vacation seems like a farewell vacation to me. I know that this is not really a goodbye forever because I will be seeing them again in June next year. Still, it is sad when it comes to leaving your family behind for a very long time. But then again, nine months are not that long if you think about it. I mean, the last nine months went so quickly that I didn’t even realize it was already time for me to go home. Or is it because I came back to Malaysia during the last Spring break made me feel that the last nine months were very short. Either way, I will keep telling myself that nine months aren’t that long. Ha-ha. So, I will go to Penang tomorrow and try to forget the fact that I’m leaving by the end of next week. Sigh On a happier note, this is my chocolate cake. I’m ready to 'buka kedai'! Ha-ha. "It's not that I'm...

Chocolate Cake.

I baked two chocolate cakes tonight. I am so happy. I’m going to Penang this weekend for one last holiday before I head back to the UK. Who wants some chocolate cake? You all are welcome to come to my house anytime before I go to London UPDATED: Apparently, I put too much sodium bicarbonate into my chocolate cake. As a result, the cake tastes a bit bitter. “I cannot imagine where would I be today were it not for that handful of friends who have given me a heart full of joy. Let’s face it, friends make life a lot more fun.” – Charles R. Swindoll. Quoted from ethinkexist.com .
