A year after 7/7

This time last year, I was in Lumut attending 25-day course, which also means no connection to the outside world whatsoever for 25 days. Somehow, some of my friends managed to sneak in their mobile phones and broke this news to me – London was under terrorists attack.

Today, a year had passed, the 7/7 tragedy remains fresh in Londoners’ mind and of course, as with any terrorist attacks, Islamic militants will be blamed. It is sad to think that whenever these kinds of things happened, fingers will be quickly pointed to the Muslims. It doesn’t matter anymore that the majority Muslims don’t support terrorism because in everyone’s mind, Muslims are terrorists.

Muslims are not terrorists. Islam doesn’t teach its believers to kill others or blow up buildings. The fact that most terrorists are Muslims doesn’t mean Muslims are terrorists. Although some Muslims chose to become terrorists, majority of us still believe in peace and we – like any other people – despise the acts of terrorism.

I would like to offer my condolences to those whose families and friends who were killed or injured during the 7/7 tragedy. Let us hope that whoever responsible for these atrocities will be severely punished.

SAY NO TO RACISM. SAY NO TO ISLAMOPHOBIA. SAY NO TO XENOPHOBIA.

Racism is man's gravest threat to man - the maximum of hatred for a minimum of reason.” – Abraham J. Heschel.

hype! bloghopping before school starts!

anyway, lumut OBS yeah? haha~ it was the greatest experience ever!

the terrorists who were/are muslims are not real muslims because they dont practice the Quran teaching..

dont worry, u and me, all of us study Qurana betol2 and potray what the Quran says.

in my opinion, racism should occur because almost all religions teach the same basic things.

hope the lost and confused one diberi petunjuk! pray for them..

and never rebel..never curse as well. one profesor came to me and adviced me, jangan layan and balas cursing dorg. sakit hati gak kan? tapi sabar itu separuh drpd iman..

cheers!
