Unfair.

I read today’s newspaper about PMR candidates in Sabah and Kedah who had to be quarantined for hours during their English examination. The reason was that the exam paper was not enough for every candidate. First thing that I want to say here is it is very unfair to those exam candidates to be quarantined for more than two hours because of mistakes made by some incompetent staff. I mean, having to face a big state exam like that is already putting a lot of pressures on those kids. And having to be quarantined is another thing. Is it fair to those students?

And the saddest thing is the ministry’s officials were unable to give any comments on this. To be honest, I think this is the most stupid mistake that can be made by anyone – let alone by the examination board or the ministry for that matter.

There we have, a story of a bunch of incompetent people doing a very basic job – to provide adequate exam papers to students. I surely hope that the authorities have a very good explanation for what just happened.

P.S. My lectures start tomorrow! Accounting and Finance with Ms. Dedman.
