Trials.
You tried so hard all your life not to be something and suddenly someone told you that you are in fact that thing.
You told everyone that you don’t want to be that person and suddenly someone told you that you are in fact that person.
That hurts.
And it hurts at the deepest core of your heart, on which the foundation or yourself and character was built. It shakes the very cornerstone of your identity. And yes, it is painful.
But, as painful as it is, life will just have to go on and that is basically what we all should do. It is going to be impossible to forget that single moment that breaks your entire self but life is just too short to live in just one moment. So once again, we shall get back on our feet hope we will not trip over the same stone twice. Sigh.
“Or do ye think that ye shall enter the Garden (of bliss) without such (trials) as came to those who passed away before you? They encountered suffering and adversity, and were so shaken in spirit that even the Messenger and those of faith who were with him cried: “When (will come) the help of Allah.” Ah! Verily, the help of Allah is (always) near.” – Al-Baqarah, verse 214.
