May Google Be With You!

In one of my lectures last Monday, a friend of mine gave this comment, “Google will soon takeover the world!” The only thing that I can say about that statement is, “I just couldn’t agree more.” In case you have not noticed, we can do pretty much everything with Google. From normal search of subjects that we like to specific searches with Google Co-op. From simple things like where can we get the new Harry Potter to specific academic journal using Google Scholar. From reviews of the latest iPod to where can we actually get them using Froogle. The list just goes on and on that, it seems like Google’s worldwide domination is unstoppable. I think it is time to create another tagline, “May Google be with you.” Ha-ha. “It’s only when you look at an ant through magnifying glass on a sunny day that you realize how often they burst into flame.” – Harry Hill. Enough!

Some people just don’t stop. In other words, this one person just don’t stop to hold on something that he certainly is incapable of holding. And another person just don’t stop bugging this other person. First lesson is if you definitely know that you cannot hold on something that is not yours, please let it go immediately even if it means losing everything that you ever worked for. Second lesson is if you believe you can change the world, by whatever means necessary keep trying even if it means having to put your life at the end of a sword. These two lessons are for the two most prominent people in Malaysia today. I don’t blame the first person for not giving up because he is a little bit too comfortable being at the place where he is now. And I also don’t blame the second person for being adamant because he is fighting for a just cause. Maybe both of the first person is insincere and the second person is sincere or maybe it is the other way around. Or maybe the first person is an anta...

Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri.

It has been almost a week since I last updated this blog. I guess, being in second year means more workload and more serious. I now find myself in a position where I have to think about THE future. Gone are the days where I just want to finish the exam as soon as possible. Now, I actually have to acquire all those knowledge in lectures so that I can apply it in my work when I graduate in 2008. Ha-ha. Gone are the days where I can just skip one lecture or two just because I don’t feel like going. Gone are the days where I can just walk into a lecture without having to read some background materials. Sigh. But let’s not get too bogged down on all that. The reason for this update is just to wish all my friends and family Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri. I hope to those who got Eid cards from me like them and to those who gave me Eid cards, I just want to say THANK YOU VERY MUCH. A Public Apology.

I just want to apologize to anyone who is offended by my last post. I don’t intend to hurt anybody, which is why I didn’t mention the name of that person. Yes, I am mad at him for what he did but I seriously didn’t mean to offend anyone. Having a blog means you will be able to publish your inner thoughts to the world and I guess I overreacted to an entry written by a friend of mine. I respect his opinion and I want to un-hate him if that is okay with him. But then again, I don’t think he actually reads my blog. P.S. I don’t want people to respond to this post. So, I’ll turn off comments feature just for this post. “So you say to people who you think you may have injured, ‘I’m sorry.’ Then you say to yourself, ‘I’m sorry.’ If we all hold on to the mistake, we can’t see our own glory in the mirror because we have the mistake between our faces and the mirror; we can’t see what we’re capable of being.” – Maya Angelou. I Hate Him.

I read a blog of my friend today and I have to say this, "I hate you!" There, I've said it. I can't believe that he would actually wrote something like that. I mean, I've heard him saying it, but to write it in his blog is totally unacceptable - at least to me. Though part of what he wrote is true, he still has no rights whatsoever to write those things. Unfair.

I read today’s newspaper about PMR candidates in Sabah and Kedah who had to be quarantined for hours during their English examination. The reason was that the exam paper was not enough for every candidate. First thing that I want to say here is it is very unfair to those exam candidates to be quarantined for more than two hours because of mistakes made by some incompetent staff. I mean, having to face a big state exam like that is already putting a lot of pressures on those kids. And having to be quarantined is another thing. Is it fair to those students? And the saddest thing is the ministry’s officials were unable to give any comments on this. To be honest, I think this is the most stupid mistake that can be made by anyone – let alone by the examination board or the ministry for that matter. There we have, a story of a bunch of incompetent people doing a very basic job – to provide adequate exam papers to students. I surely hope that the authorities have a very good explanation for w...

Cahaya Cinta.

I am in love with this song. I just want to dedicate this song to my significant other. This song is sung by Siti Nurhaliza. The title of this song is 'Cahaya Cinta'.
